TrekO Shipping
How TrekO shipping works for sellers and buyers β measurements, rates, labels, tracking, and common questions.
π Shipping Overview
TrekO shipping is based on package size + weight. Buyers choose a rate at checkout, and sellers print the label.
- Seller enters packed box measurements + weight when creating the listing.
- Buyer sees shipping options (cheapest / fastest) at checkout.
- Seller buys and prints the label through TrekO after the order is placed.
- Tracking is shared with the buyer once the label is created.
π¦ 1) Measurements & Weight (packed box)
Shipping rates are calculated from the packed box size and weight β not the itemβs unboxed size.
- Use inches for Length Γ Width Γ Height (LΓWΓH).
- Use ounces (or pounds if your form supports it) for weight.
- Round up slightly if youβre between sizes/weights.
- If you change your packaging later, update the listing so rates stay accurate.
Tip: Measure the box after packing and sealing. Dimensional weight can change rates even if the item is light.
π² 2) Shipping rates at checkout
Buyers pick a shipping option during checkout. TrekO shows options like cheapest or fastest (when available).
- Rates depend on origin (seller address), destination (buyer address), and package details.
- If the buyer enters an incomplete address, rates may fail to load until itβs corrected.
- If rates look βtoo high,β double-check the box size and weight first.
π·οΈ 3) Buying & printing shipping labels
After the order is placed, the seller purchases a label through TrekO and prints it at home.
- Choose the rate that matches your packaging and delivery speed.
- Print the label (usually PDF) and attach it securely to the box.
- Drop off with the carrier or schedule a pickup when available.
- Keep your receipt until tracking shows βAccepted.β
Tip: If you change the box after the buyer paid for shipping, you may need to re-check rates so the label matches the actual package.
π 4) Tracking & delivery updates
Tracking is generated with the label and shared with the buyer once created.
- Tracking usually updates within a few hours after the carrier scans the package.
- First scan can be delayed if dropped after hours or during peak periods.
- If tracking doesnβt update after 24β48 hours, confirm the package was accepted by the carrier.
π Common shipping issues (and fast fixes)
- Rates not showing: verify ZIP/postal code, street, and country fields are filled correctly.
- Rates are too expensive: re-check box dimensions (LΓWΓH) and weight β most errors are here.
- Label wonβt generate: confirm the selected rate is still available; refresh and try again.
- Address looks wrong: correct it before buying the label to avoid returns.

Do I enter the item size or the box size?
Enter the box size after the item is packed.
Do I need a printer?
Yes, for standard labels. A basic home printer works. (Thermal label printers are optional.)
What if my package ends up heavier than I entered?

When does the buyer get tracking?
After the label is created and the carrier scans it in.
